The Claim That Crossed a Line

So Jimmy Evans — pastor, author, Daystar board member — decided to rewrite Luke 2:49 by saying Jesus “very indignantly said” He had to be about His Father's business... and then declared Jesus was wrong for it.

Let’s be clear: If your theology depends on Christ being incorrect to prove a point about submission, your theology is incorrect.

And here’s the part that should stop every believer in their tracks:
📍This isn’t just bad doctrine — it’s a direct assault on the nature of our sinless Savior.

When you consider the factor of eternity, what people like Jimmy Evans are doing is dangerously irresponsible.
They are messing with people’s eternal destiny by derailing them off the narrow road with manipulative and false theology.
This is not just a “bad take” — it’s a soul-endangering deception.

To say Jesus was “wrong” is to suggest He wasn’t righteous.
To suggest He wasn’t righteous is to deny His sinlessness.
And to deny His sinlessness is to undermine the entire gospel.

This is not only completely unacceptable, it is blasphemous — and it puts souls at risk.
Jimmy Evans will answer to God for that. But make no mistake: if we sit silently while this kind of spiritual erosion is happening, we become complicit.

And I, for one, don’t want to stand before the judgment seat having shrugged off the opportunity to defend Christ’s holiness.
We are called to stand firm. To speak truth in love.
And in this moment? Silence is not love. It’s surrender.
